What is a User-Agent string?

A User-Agent (UA) string is a text string that browsers send to websites to identify themselves. It contains information about the browser name, version, operating system, device, and rendering engine.

Is my UA string sent to a server?

No. Everything runs entirely in your browser using the UAParser.js library. Your User-Agent string never leaves your device.

Why does my browser show 'Unknown' for some fields?

Some browsers or custom User-Agent strings may omit certain information. If a field can't be parsed, it will display as '-'.

Can I parse any User-Agent string?

Yes. You can paste any valid User-Agent string into the input field and click Parse. This is useful for analyzing mobile browsers, crawlers, or custom UA strings.
